Often times if your English teacher does get carried away, it’s up to you to realize it’s probably his or her Reader’s Response and yours will vary based on your perception of the work. Let’s be real people, it’s not like the bitch when through years college to spew a bunch of “depressed 8th grader” bullshit at your face. I’ve never once met an English teacher who didn’t know what they were talking about.
